The Heartland NAVHDA is sponsoring a training weekend with Clyde and Marilyn Vetter of Sharp Shooter's Kennel.
This seminar is being held at Skyline Sportsmans Club (map below) on August 1st and 2nd. The fee will be $100.00 plus the cost of birds. When working a brace, handlers will split the total cost of birds put out. You are welcome to bring your own birds if you have a source. Quail will be running ~$4.50 each, Ducks ~$9.00 each and Pigeons ~$3.00 - $4.00 each.
We will be roughing it at Skyline Sportsmans Club for the weekend, as the club is closed during July and August. Breakfast will be donuts and cereal, we will cook out for lunch (burgers, hot dogs) and go into either Tabor or Sidney for dinner. You are welcome to bring your own breakfast and lunch if you would like.
Just a reminder this is for UT and Invitational ready dogs, we will not be covering basics this weekend. To participate dogs should be ready for UT testing (needing some assistance polishing up), be participating in the 2009 Invitational or quailified for the 2010 Invitational. You are welcome to attend without a dog in order to learn how to train for later participation in the UT/INV (seminar attendance fee only, no bird fees).
Please bring folding chairs, sunscreen and plenty of water for your dog as we anticipate hot temperatures.
To hold your spot, please send the $100 attendance fee (or $50 deposit) made out to Heartland NAVHDA to:
Tracey Nelson 2488 130th st Tabor IA 51653
Please note: The attendance will be limited on a first come first served basis.
